2018 has been a year of transition for Dan Sultan. Having taken 6 months off and out of the spotlight to recalibrate and steady the ship, he is now ready to take on a whole bunch of new, exciting and fresh challenges. The first project to see the light of day in 2019 will be the aptly titled ‘AVIARY TAKES’, a collection of older, existing back catalogue songs and a smattering of new tracks including a couple of out-of-the-blue covers and fresh tunes stripped back and all recorded in ‘one vocal take’ at The Aviary Studio’s in inner city Melbourne. The AVIARY TAKES collection will be released early in 2019 and to celebrate its release, Sultan will head back out on the road armed with a guitar, a keyboard and a fresh batch of anecdotes and bad ‘dad' jokes! The tour run sees Dan traverse the country in regional areas that he is both familiar and not so familiar with.
Says Sultan; “I’m really looking forward to hitting the regional road with 'The Aviary Takes’ tour. It’ll be good to make up for the shows I had to cancel earlier this year. ‘The Aviary Takes’ are a group of songs I recorded recently and they include old, current, new tracks with a couple of surprise covers thrown in. It’ll be great to see all of your lovely faces at the shows”.
After busily touring the world since his last performance in Fremantle, Nahko Bear is finally heading back to WA - this time for an intimate and stunning solo performance. Nahko will be joined by Kahl Wallis.

Nahko has chosen a few select locations for his solo tour, which follows his band Medicine for the People's east coast Blues Fest tour in April. Nahko's solo shows are something quite special - you'll be entertained not only with beautiful songs played on both piano and guitar, but also with story telling and a lot of laughs!
Nahko continues to gather dedicated members of his global tribe of like minded fans as he spreads his positive and powerful musical message. His most recent album 'My Name is Bear' premiered at #1 on iTunes and debuted on a number of Billboard charts, and the headline tour in support of the album boasted multiple sold-out dates throughout the USA and Europe. 'My Name is Bear' is a 16-track collection that reflects the soul, authenticity, and spirit that Nahko's tribe has come to know.
Nahko is a world-renowned musician, prolific songwriter, and active social and environmental justice advocate. He has worked alongside Winona Laduke on the board of Honor the Earth and has been heavily involved with the resistance of pipelines in the Midwest, the salmon restoration in the Pacific Northwest, and an intertribal youth scholarship program which brings traditional teachings and wisdom to indigenous youth. Nahko is a firm believer in using music as a tool of empowerment to protect and preserve all of creation.
